This graph shows the number of homes that closed each month in Shelby County, Alabama during 2019. If you are thinking of selling your home soon you can see that now is the time to get your home on the market to take advantage of the upcoming peak selling season. The Spring market is already beginning based on buyer activity in the market, but inventory is low. Buyers are having a hard time finding the home they want. Listing your home now would position you to take advantage of inventory constraints and the coming tide of buyer activity that drives the closing numbers shown in the chart above. Keep in mind that the chart shows CLOSED homes. That means those properties went under contract 30-45 days prior to those closings on average. For example…homes closing in March typically go under contract in February. Don’t make the mistake of waiting too late and missing the buyer activity that drives those peak closing numbers.

I’d love to discuss your plans and help you develop a strategy for getting your home on the market and sold. You can reach me by phone, text, or email.
